Had To Share...

This comes from this book by David Crowder...that I am loving...part of his response to Psalms 8.
One attribute of habitual praise is that it is inherent in creation. We tell the glory of God by our very existence. It is unavoidable. We can choose whether to amplify this or not. We can choose to be moved by this or not. Maybe we just need a simple book beside our beds that reminds us of who the household name is. Either way we respond with the heavens, the greatness of the Creator-but when you have met Him, when He has called you His own, then you must open your mouth in response to report this mystery: that the majestic One would come near, would lean in close in all of His glory and embrace us, to mend the division between Him and us. The most famous One of all is concerned with us! Sometimes our awareness of who we are, in light of who He is, is so present and vivid that we become explosions of rescue.
Sometimes praise is impossible to contain. It is a violently full river for which there is no dam high enough or wide enough to contain it. He will be on the tip of our tongue. He will spill out. We will be standing in a room waiting for others eyes to meet ours so we can run with a smile that floods and drowns.
This really challenges me...Do I see Christ in ALL His greatness...is worship of Him impossible for me to contain!!! What am I actively doing to remind my self of His greatness???
Lord help me to see You...really see You...and know You and experience You...so that You spill out of me...overflow through me...that there is none of me left...just You...I choose...to be moved by the greatness of You...amen

The way of a worshiper Ch. 4

Innocence Found

When we were utterly helpless...God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:6,8)

You cannot make yourself holy. Only God can make you holy. You cannot earn holiness-your generous acts of charity may make you a great philanthropist, but they will not make you holy. You cannot learn holiness-your wealth of Bible knowledge may make you a great theologian, but it will not make you holy. Holiness is God's gift of grace. The only way to get holiness is to surrender to it.
I am the Lord, who makes you holy. (Exodus 31:13)
I am the Lord, who make you holy. (Leviticus 20:8)
I am the Lord, who makes you holy. (Leviticus 22:32)

Some of you reading these words today carry the burden and memory of a horrible past, and it has paralyzed you.
You may have committed violent acts; you may be struggling with addictions and habits and thought patterns; you may be living with the guilt of abortion, or sexual sin...and you think, "There is just no way I can come to God-not in the condition I'm in. I'm too far gone. I've tried it before-too many times-and I've failed. That stuff may be good for other people, but it's too late for me."
If you think you are too sinful for God, then you are just what he is looking for. Jesus came to seek and to save the lost (Lk 19:10).

I'm soooo thankful that we don't earn salvation or Holiness or anything that God offers us including Himself...That we are saved by Grace...I'm thankful that God doesn't expect us to be perfect and loves us anyway...we are taught that if it sounds too good to be true it probably is...but in this case it is too good to be true but it is true...we can have a relationship with God as soon as we choose to no matter what condition we are in...it is completely a come as you are deal...I love you God...Thanks for loving me...just as I am...because of who I am...I love you so...

The way of a worshiper Ch. 3

The Seeker

I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me I was found by thos who did not seek me. (Isaiah 65:1)

This chapter made me so thankful for God's desire to seek after us...and He doesn't just seek after us it's with PASSION...

God is the seeker. He is the one who initiates relationship. He doesn't turn his back on us. He comes looking of us in our failure and sin He calls us out of our hiding places, not to condemn us, but to redeem us.

Thank you God!!! I wonder what would have happened if God didn't seek out Adam and Eve after they had sinned? He calls after us...He pursues us...He desires to have a relationship with us...even in all our humaness...wow...that's just amazing to me!

I praise God for the incredible value he places on sinners? He does not passively wait for us to come to him. He actively, passionately seeks after us and calls us out of our wanderings and hiding places. His pursuit is relentless. Nine out of ten is not good enough for him. Ninety-nine out of one hundred is still unacceptable. He is not willing that any should perish. He wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the Truth"(1Ti 2:4). When he finds us he carries us on his shoulders into the safety of the fold. He rejoices with saints and angels.

Thank you God for loving me so much You continue to seek after me...You are there when ever I call..You are my Strong Tower...with You in my life I am complete...You are MORE than enough...amen
