crushed...

All Stars...  heavy sigh

For you mom's who are scraping up little crushed stomped on baseball boy hearts. Kissing it back to life, putting it back together with little sponge bob band-aids (remember when those still worked)... I am so feeling your pain!

my boy is crushed

Shirley's in heaven...

I haven't told you... that I lost a very dear friend last week.  I haven't been able to bare the thought of putting into words my feelings. I still can't... She's in heaven at this very moment. No pain or suffering... seeing loved ones who have gone on before her. Her son Jeff, my brother-in-law Paul (i can't wait to see him again!)

It's so hard for those of us who are left behind. I think of my friend Kerry who doesn't have her mom anymore, her daughter Erin who doesn't have her grandma anymore...sigh   Loss like this  is consuming it is in your face, you can't escape it. The grip it holds on  your heart squeezes so tightly that you don't know how you survive it...

But it's not hopeless...

Our God picks us up, consumes us, we can not escape it, He squeezes us tight and never lets go. He helps us survive and move and breath and love and laugh again...

I love you so much Shirley...

Thank you for poring into my life so generously.

Thanks for loving me.

i miss you...

this wonderful season is ending...

Colton, Dominick, Alec
I have been taking these little guys to school for a long time!!!  I've been watching them grow into fine young men. They fight like brothers and love like brothers... This wonderful season is coming to an end... Dominick and Alec are moving on to High School next year... sigh

Of course I know they'll still be friends and all... but things are changing.

I'm going to miss listening in on their morning conversations about baseball, skateboards and now girls...  all the laughing and "dudes"

Thanks for the ride Mrs. Parson...

Your welcome boys it's been my pleasure...

Little League All Stars...

Little League All Stars is a pretty big thing in this town... I've never been one to allow my self to be defined by other peoples opinion. I have taught my children that the only one who defines who you are is God Himself. Unfortunately coaches, friends, co-workers, bosses, family members, past experience etc... throw their two cents in that hat a lot of the time. Although what I say is true I have been know to get thrown off kilter from time to time and have to slap my self back into the reality of the truth of my belief.

It's time for All Stars... Coaches get voted on then the players get voted in. Some coaches are fair some coaches are not. But isn't that life? Isn't that what we say" Life's Not Fair". So true. So there are some little boys that will be crushed and some that will give high fives and I'm not sure which one my" little man" is going to be. I do know which he should be... of course I do that's my job!!! But as I've said before Life Is Not always Fair.

Here is what I know for sure if he is supposed to be nothing can stand in the way and if he isn't  it will not define who my son is.

Will it be easy?  no...

I hate the wait...

I'm Going Short...

yep!  I just don't want to risk using any color ever again... I can not stand long gray hair even in a cute choppy bob... My hair grows crazy fast which is one of the reasons I have not kept my hair short for very long in the past. This will now work in my favor :) I will cope with my hair growing out until I feel it's long enough for the hair cut and rip the band aid off! Short and all gray all at once.

Past short hair cuts...

The hair cuts I'm considering... they are very short I will wear them like the pics except longer bangs possibly. I will do the shortest one first and grow it into the slightly longer version...
