Well I think it's about time to check in on my fellow American Idol fans...so how do you guys feel about the performances and eliminations at this point...I wasn't disappointed at all with our most resent loss...

A prayer for my friends...

Last evening at our life group I was asked a very simple question by my friend Diana..."what's your favorite book in the bible". I told her Philippians definitely one of the top picks for me...I began thinking...you know it's been a while...and today in my quiet time I decided to read Philippians again...as I am reading I'm remembering why it's one of my favorites...one of my favorite passages being Paul's prayer in the beginning of the book. Today I pray this prayer with my heart. For my friends, my brothers and sisters in Christ who choose to fight the good fight...

Philippians 1:9-11

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God...Amen

A Couple of Random Questions???

Matthew 27:50-53
And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split. The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs, and after Jesus' resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many people.

I've often wondered why I've never heard a sermon on these particular scriptures...

And what were these people who were raised from death doing for the 3 days before Jesus was resurrected?

This part of Jesus' death on the cross always has intrigued me...well really the whole raising from the dead thing has (regular people not Jesus)...Here is my question, trivial as it may be but what happened to these people who were raised from the dead? Did they die again eventually... were they raised from the dead to bring glory to God then to die again at a later date?
Hmmmmmmm.........

Welcome to the Family Bud!!!!

He's here!!!! Everyone I would like to introduce the newest member of our family Bud!!! Weighing in at 60 pounds...we have 100 days to get Bud fattened up to a wopp'n 260 lbs...

Today was the day...the Parson, Gillum and the Avila families were off to an early start this morning on a mission to pick our prize hogs...

After picking Bud...Brittani was quickly put to work on her first Hog owner task...





A SHOT...WOW!!! Look at her go...she's a natural...

Here she is getting the feed thingy (I still don't have the lingo down yet) ready for her baby Bud...with Mia making sure the Job is done right...just like a Gillum...
