Isaiah 40:29-31 NIV
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary and young men stumble and fall’ but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
I have grown up listening, quoting and praying these three bible verses throughout the years. A couple of days ago a conversation with “Big Daddy” led me to ponder and read these familiar verses. 1 Corinthians 10:13. God won’t give more than we can handle isn't exactly what the verse says. It’s actually talking about temptation, not “every circumstance that we endure”. There are other verses that tell us that God will go through every single thing with us. He will never leave us or forsake us is one of those verses, to paraphrase Deuteronomy 31:6.
When I read these verses this time it stood out to me that there are a few important components/contingencies to these promises. Check it out. Read them again. 1 Corinthians 10:13, we must have faith in Him, Matthew 11:28-30, come to and learn from Him as well as
Isaiah 40:29-31, hope in Him.
