The Book I'm Reading...

The book I'm reading...

I've been sorta bummed that I haven't been able to discuss the books I'm reading with anyone...boo  But it was very difficult to keep up with an additional book club blog so I decided to share the books I'm reading here on this blog and if anyone cares to join me I would love the company!! I will be starting to share thoughts on "One Thousand Gifts" next Monday. An anonymous person sent this book to me for my kindle on my Birthday and I'm so thankful. It is exactly what I need in this season of my life. So whom ever you are THANK YOU so much!

If you click on the book it will take you to the synopsis :)

Monday Prayer...The Lord Is My Banner!

Exodus 17:8-16 (New International Version)
The Amalekites Defeated

8 The Amalekites came and attacked the Israelites at Rephidim. 9 Moses said to Joshua, “Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands.”

10 So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill. 11 As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. 12 When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset. 13 So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword.

14 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven.”

15 Moses built an altar and called it The LORD is my Banner. 16 He said, “Because hands were lifted up against the throne of the LORD, the LORD will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation.”

I LOVE this passage! I love it for so many reasons. It is a passage of scripture that I can pick apart and find so many life lessons. So much information on how to flesh out the Christ walk...

Today I'm meditating on it for my Monday prayer time. I feel like there are some people out there praying and fighting a battle that God wants to win for you. So I say don't give up surround your self with people like Aaron and Hur who will lift your arms up when you are exhausted beyond measure. Today I am holding your arms against the throne of the Lord. Remember nothing is impossible for God! Keep holding your arms up...

My Fabulous Sunday...

Well Big Daddy and Cheerio are off to the last competition of the season in Sacramento. Colton and I stayed behind this time. It's funny how most things worth doing has sacrifice. However, this morning as I looked at my son's angelic face getting much needed rest I decided today he does not have to scarifice for one more cheerio competition. I also thought about how thankful I am that he does not yet know how some day he will be the envy of his friends eyes to be in the presence of so many Cheerios...

I'm left here doing the only surfing I know how. Enjoying my peaceful home that is screaming with silence. Wondering why I don't have more time to do this and trying to making sure I take complete advantage of it. Pondering things like, I really miss my book club blog, I miss "Reach" a group of women longing to make a difference in Jesus' name together. Thinking wow only one summer left before Cheerio is a senior and preparing to leave me. Wishing we could put off driving a little longer and knowing it's been too long already.

I think I will eat a scone that Big Daddy made for me on my birthday and have a cup of tea and think of my friend Sarah, that I haven't seen in too long, and LOVE to share tea with. And I will refuse to turn on the box of entertainment and I will read yes read a happy adventure that sends my imagination soring. I will make lunch for me and my puppy dog tail and listen and laugh and love...

I hope you are having a fabulous Sunday too...

It's a Choice...

One of the many, many things I love about God is that He is a God of choices. He doesn't force Himself on us.

Today I have a worrisome heart... My stomach has a knot in it, I'm uncertain, concerned. So I am choosing at this moment to cast my cares upon Him. Minute by minute or even second by second.

God I choose you! I choose your peace! I choose Your direction and I have faith that you will be faithful...amen

I Love God!!!

I love God sooo much... I mean really!!! He has proven Himself time and time again in my life. It would be impossible for me to deny the reality that God exists! No not because He must reveal this to me but has because He loves me. Me! Messy little ol me!!! I am amazed time and time again that He desires to spend time with me...

I'm so thankful to you God for my life. For all the blessings you have given me. Thank you that you are a personal God who desires me! God I pray that you make your self real to my friends today. I pray that you give them peace in their anxiety and healing of their sickness. I pray that you give them strength with what ever they are going through this day! Speak to them in the way that you have made them. That is tailor made for them. So that they know you see them and love them and are there right by their side walking through life with them.

I Love you my precious Lord...Amen
