Don't you love how our kids challenge us?!
Other than using Job...I've got nothing.
Job refers to creatures that might possibly be dinosaurs. For example, the behemoth in Job 14:15is one possibility. I know my footnote says in regards to the behemoth... "possibly the hippopotamus or the elephant." That leaves a lot of room for interpretation. Someone describing the hippo, the elephant, and the dinosaur for the first time could very well present many similarities. Job 40:19 (again refering to the behemoth)says "he ranks first among the works of God." We know dinosaurs existed so long ago, they very well could rank first among the works of God.
I try to remember, some things are lost in translation. Job didn't have the word "dinosaur" that we use today. It's like John describing things in Revelation that he had no modern words for. Could you imagine if someone from the 1800's flashed forward to today and then went back to the 1800's and tried to describe what they saw. So in steps faith. I believe God has created so many creatures, we couldn't possibly know about them all. Years from now someone will be trying to describe a creature we haven't even discoverd yet.
Okay...enough rambling. Sorry for taking up so much space. I hope this helps.
Reasons to Believe is a fantastic organization that takes both the Bible and Science seriously. They have some great material for youth.

Okay well, here is my hokie answer. Genesis 1:24-25 'And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.'
